Join Reindeer Runners Today and Participate in Seattle's 2011 Jingle Bell Run/Walk

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) November 02, 2011

Santa Claus, jingle bells and reindeer, oh my! Join the Reindeer Runners team and participate in the 2011 Seattle Jingle Bell Run/Walk. The 2011 Seattle Jingle Bell Run/Walk is taking place on Dec. 11 at Westlake Center starting at 8am.

The Jingle Bell Run/Walk is a fun and festive way to kick off the holiday season by helping others. The Jingle Bell Run/Walk celebrates family, fun, holiday tradition and raising funds in the name of preventing, controlling and curing arthritis. According to the website SeattleJingleBellRun.org, nearly 50 million Americans (1 out of 5 people) have been diagnosed with arthritis by a doctor, and nearly 300,000 children under the age of 17 are affected by juvenile arthritis. Each year arthritis results in 39 million physician visits, 744,000 hospitalizations and $ 128 billion in costs of treatment, lost wages and other associated costs.

By joining Reindeer Runners and participating in the Seattle Jingle Bell Run/Walk, you can help individuals take control of arthritis by providing public health education, public policy and legislation, and evidence-based programs to improve the quality of life for those living with arthritis.

The run/walk itself is a 3.1 mile course that starts at Westlake Center and lops around scenic Seattle. And, in case you need another incentive to sign up you can fund raise and earn awesome prices including custom knee high tube socks, a Kindle 3G, or even an iPad! So sign up today and help the Arthritis Foundation, Pacific NW Chapter!
