Creating Realistic Wealth at Any Age: Wealth Virtues Author, James Ward, Featured on The Balancing Act

Port Republic, MD (PRWEB) March 2, 2011

Wealth Virtues author, James Ward, was featured on The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television with host Danielle Knox to discuss how the wisdom of Benjamin Franklin can help us in these modern times to eliminate debt and create wealth.

In discussing the rationale behind the book, James Ward commented, "With my three girls, I want them to succeed like I feel we have with our financial future. We want to make sure that we are not a burden on them, and use the wisdom from Franklins virtues to help empower them to be debt-free, and to be successful in whatever they want to pursue." It is a goal that Ward wanted readers of Wealth Virtues to consider for themselves. James also discusses with Danielle how the creation of wealth is simplistic, and therefore, he wrote Wealth Virtues with simplicity in mind.

James Ward describes how many people mistakenly perceive 'wealth' as the amount of money required for one to live like a king. This perception may inhibit many from even perusing a realistic and easily attainable measure of wealth. In his book, Wealth Virtues, Ward redefines wealth as simply the goal of acquiring more money than you spend, and to save more money than you owe. To help readers understand why these virtues matter, James Ward provides knowledge and insight on the impact of health, creativity, non-linear thinking, and investing to allow anyone to achieve his or her goals, as well as to become wealthy as defined within Wealth Virtues.

Wealth Virtues is a book that will allow readers to define and achieve their own wealth regardless of their current age or income level. Whether a person measures wealth in monetary terms or as a measure of the quality and meaning of their life, Wealth Virtues will change the way people live if they are willing to follow the easy path set forth by James Ward, with help from one of Americas preeminent Founding Fathers.

The Latest Health Articles Featured at Life-Sciences.net

(PRWEB) November 02, 2011

The Health Sciences category of the Life-Sciences Magazine covers the effects of disease and medical treatment on the overall condition of organisms. This section currently contains more than 243,000 articles. A great part of these contributions derive from nearly 3,000 international scientific journals covering this science topic.

One of the latest inclusions deals with the implications of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) for cardiovascular health. GDM is a pregnancy complication that is becoming more prevalent with increasing rates of obesity and advancing maternal age. GDM not only increases risk for maternal and fetal complications during pregnancy, but also significantly increases a womans risk of both type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. The authors argue that medical therapies such as metformin that prevent progression to type 2 diabetes mellitus may be primarily important to prevent cardiovascular disease among women with GDM.

A newly published article on the anti-inflammatory property of chlorophyll revisits the folklore use of green leaves to treat inflammation. Chlorophyll a from fresh leaves showed potent anti-inflammatory activity against carrageenan-induced paw edema in mice and formalin-induced paw edema in rats by inhibiting expression of a pro-inflammatory bacterial cytokine gene in cells. The authors conclude that chlorophyll a and its degradation products are promising anti-inflammatory agents for the development of phytomedicine or conventional medicine to treat inflammation and related diseases.

The social network Life-Sciences.net was established to discover and share scholarly and popular content in the basic and applied life and earth sciences including biology, agriculture, forestry, the environmental sciences, and the health sciences.

Eckhart Tolle, Silicon Valley Leaders to be Featured at Wisdom 2.0

Redwood City, CA (PRWEB) November 03, 2011

The Wisdom 2.0 Conference is a one-of-a-kind event in Silicon Valley which brings together people from a variety of disciplines, including technology leaders, Zen teachers, neuroscientists, and academics, to explore the merging of wisdom in modern life. Founded in 2009 by Soren Gordhamer, author of Wisdom 2.0: Ancient Secrets for the Creative and Constantly Connected, the Wisdom 2.0 Conference is rapidly becoming a staple of the Silicon Valley calendar; in 2011, the conference sold out a month early, and the livestream garnered 284,000 views.

"In our increasingly connected lives, are we going to live more distracted and overwhelmed," asks Gordhamer, "or can we live mindfully and wisely, and use technology for a greater purpose?" At the third annual Wisdom 2.0 Conference this February, wisdom teachers such as Eckhart Tolle and Jon Kabat-Zinn will join technology leaders, including the founders of Facebook, Paypal and Zynga, to explore this vital question.

The 2012 conference boasts more than 25 presenters, including Dustin Moskovitz, co-founder of Facebook and Asana; Padmasree Warrior, Chief Technology Officer of Cisco Systems; Karen May, Vice President of Google; and Premal Shah, president of kiva.org. These technology gurus will share the stage with mindfulness teacher Jon Kabat-Zinn; Buddhist teacher Jack Kornfield; yoga activist Seane Corn; and for the first time, Eckhart Tolle, whom Oprah calls the father of the now. Tolle is the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller The Power of Now and the highly acclaimed follow-up A New Earth, and is regarded as one of the most influential spiritual teachers of his generation.

Together, Wisdom 2.0 presenters and participants will explore ways for the constantly-connected modern person to evolve and thrive in a dramatically changing world. There is little question whether the external technologies of our age, from computers to cell phones, will continue to advance, says Gordhamer. The more vital question is whether our internal technologies of wisdom and compassion will advance along with them.

Wisdom 2.0 2012 will be held February 23rd - 26th at Hotel Sofitel in Redwood City, California and at Googles corporate headquarters in Mountain View. For more information, visit Wisdom 2.0 online at http://www.wisdom2conference.com.

Wisdom 2.0 is, quite possibly, the most important gathering of our times."

Rich Fernandez, Director of Executive Development, Google

"Wisdom 2.0 has catalyzed I think the next wave of what is actually happening in Silicon Valley, this wave of awareness.
