Even Monsters Need Affordable Health Insurance, Says ReallyCheapHealthInsurance.com

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) October 27, 2011

What happens when the scary creature under your bed gets a cold? Just in time for Halloween, ReallyCheapHealthInsurance.com answers this question with animated videos featuring monsters with some seriously funny health issues.

Episodes in the series titled, Adventures in the monstER, were released throughout the month of October to celebrate Halloween. Each video shows a M.D. (Monster Doctor) who treats popular monster characters, like Dracula and Godzilla, for illnesses that are common among the not-so-monster individuals.

ReallyCheapHealthInsurance.com is a web site that helps people find the cheapest health and car insurance. Watch all the animated videos on their insurance blog at http://reallycheaphealthinsurance.com/health-insurance-for-monsters-some-halloween-fun/ or on their YouTube Channel at http://www.YouTube.com/reallycheaphealthins

The company gives a fun and unique perspective on an otherwise serious subject. Owner John Benson shares, "Insurance is such a serious business. We wanted to change things up a bit and create our own little world of insurance. With our animated Halloween videos we wanted to show people that even the insurance industry can loosen the tie and have a good laugh."

One clip has the Incredible Hulk being treated for anger management problems. Another has an obese Dracula who gorged himself on blood and needs relief. The monstER doctor also treats The Headless Horseman for losing his head and Godzilla who has a problem with Halitosis (the medical term for really bad breath).

The videos were created by our overworked, overly imaginative team at ReallyCheapHealthInsurance.com; who may at times feel like they are zombies and might need to find a policy which covers the living dead! We hope you enjoy our offbeat humor," said Benson.

The Latest Health Articles Featured at Life-Sciences.net

(PRWEB) November 02, 2011

The Health Sciences category of the Life-Sciences Magazine covers the effects of disease and medical treatment on the overall condition of organisms. This section currently contains more than 243,000 articles. A great part of these contributions derive from nearly 3,000 international scientific journals covering this science topic.

One of the latest inclusions deals with the implications of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) for cardiovascular health. GDM is a pregnancy complication that is becoming more prevalent with increasing rates of obesity and advancing maternal age. GDM not only increases risk for maternal and fetal complications during pregnancy, but also significantly increases a womans risk of both type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. The authors argue that medical therapies such as metformin that prevent progression to type 2 diabetes mellitus may be primarily important to prevent cardiovascular disease among women with GDM.

A newly published article on the anti-inflammatory property of chlorophyll revisits the folklore use of green leaves to treat inflammation. Chlorophyll a from fresh leaves showed potent anti-inflammatory activity against carrageenan-induced paw edema in mice and formalin-induced paw edema in rats by inhibiting expression of a pro-inflammatory bacterial cytokine gene in cells. The authors conclude that chlorophyll a and its degradation products are promising anti-inflammatory agents for the development of phytomedicine or conventional medicine to treat inflammation and related diseases.

The social network Life-Sciences.net was established to discover and share scholarly and popular content in the basic and applied life and earth sciences including biology, agriculture, forestry, the environmental sciences, and the health sciences.

All categories including that of Health feature RSS Feeds. All categories and articles can be bookmarked and shared with the AddThis buttons which include the increasingly popular Google+1 button.

The website newly features a "Top Content" sidebar which includes the most actively read and shared articles available on the site and the Google Translate gadget which supports translating Life-Sciences.net's content into over 50 languages. The site's own search function enables users to search for keywords or phrases. For every story displayed, it also suggests up to 10 related articles which are displayed sorted by relevancy.

Bridgewater, NJ (PRWEB) August 30, 2011

To begin cooking without grains and refined sugars, you may have to invest a little more time into food preparation. The benefits, however, to your overall health and well-being will be well worth the effort. This new comprehensive cookbook features more than 200 practical recipes that are free of grains, gluten, and refined sugars. The recipes contain easy steps that will help even the most inexperienced cooks obtain excellent results. The author developed the recipes in her own home kitchen, testing them many times. Readers will be able to enjoy some of their favorite foods that are not only delicious but also easy to digest.

Comfort Cooking provides recipes in all categories: appetizers, dips, soups, stews, breads, poultry, meat, fish, meatless meals, vegetables, fruits, and salad dressings. The author has thought of everything, including a detailed index, a chapter on cooking techniques and a source list for shopping information.

Author Eleanor Fahey, a professional home economist, taught foods and nutrition at a public high school for more than a decade. She was inspired to write this book, which took more than seven years to develop, because she herself is allergic to grains and refined sugars. After failing to find a cookbook that worked for her, she began to experiment with her own family recipes by replacing the ingredients that caused distress with other digestible ingredients.
